In providing our services we rely on services provided by vAMSYS. vAMSYS has its own privacy policy so information you provide to them will follow their rules and not necessarily ours. You can find their policy at https://vamsys.io/legal
The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
- Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)
- Unique identifiers for online networks (example; VATSIM, IVAO & POSCON)
- Social Media identifiers
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us indirectly by you when you join vFlybe via the vAMSYS system.
Sometimes you may provide personal information directly to us when you join social media pages ran by vFlybe.
We use the information you have given to us in order to:
- Track your account within vFlybe
- Send you marketing, promotional & administrative information to you, or request feedback/information from you
- Administer any service you voluntarily sign up to, such as giveaways or competitions
- To enforce our terms, conditions, policies and prevent harm across the vFlybe platforms
- Legitimate business purposes, such as data analysis
We may share this information with limited 3rd parties as identified below.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
Your consent. You are able to remove your consent to our processing of your personal data at any time.
Should you wish to not receive marketing, promotional and administrative emails from vFlybe you can withdraw your consent at https://vamsys.io/settings/email by deselecting ‘Virtual airline Emails’, or by contacting matt@vflybe.co.uk.
Should you wish for vFlybe and vAMSYS to delete all of your personal information you should open a ticket at https://support.vamsys.io/ selecting ’20 Platform Administrators / 23 Account removal requests.
We have a legitimate interest. If you provide us your unique online network identifier from time to time we may share this personal information with Online Networks (such as VATSIM, IVAO and POSCON) in order to administrate any partnerships with these networks.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the legitimate interests outlined in this policy. In practice this means your information will be kept by vFlybe until you delete your account with us. There is no need for vFlybe to store your information post account deletion, however vAMSYS may do this (for more information see their policy at https://vamsys.io/legal)
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
